Ishaq Dar Rules Out Talks with Anti-Pakistan Elements

London, April 2025 – Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, has firmly rejected any possibility of engaging in talks with individuals or groups that undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty and national interests.
Speaking in London at a meeting with British lawmakers, Dar made it clear that the government would not engage in negotiations with those who have targeted Pakistan’s state institutions or worked against the country’s core values. He emphasized that the government is committed to safeguarding the nation’s integrity and would not allow any forces to destabilize the country.
Dar also criticized past policies that, in his view, allowed extremist factions like the Tehreek-e-Taliban to regain influence, thereby threatening national security. He reiterated that such groups and their supporters will not be part of any political discussions under the current administration.
In a broader context, Dar condemned the actions of the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, specifically its recent communication with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He accused PTI of engaging in actions that harm Pakistan’s international standing and financial stability, particularly through its actions aimed at tarnishing the country’s economic credibility.
Reaffirming his commitment to Pakistan’s prosperity, Dar called for collective efforts to ensure the nation’s continued development and stability, marking a clear opposition to any entities that threaten national security or economic growth.
