10 Years On: No Justice for Christian Couple Burned Alive for Spurious Blasphemy Accusations

It is the tenth anniversary of the horrific killing of Shama and Shehzad Masih, a poor Christian couple accused of blasphemy and being burnt alive in a brick kiln in 2014. The atrocity took place after they had demanded their rightful wages from the kiln owners, which turned out to be the actual reason for the bogus charges.
A decade later, there isn’t much to change. Religious extremism has merely grown, and it spread to every corner of the country, endangering sensible voices. Blasphemy law abuse still goes on and on to devastate innocent lives, with the forces of extremism running wild. The so-called “blasphemy business mafia” has already devastated the futures of hundreds, but justice eludes them still.
