13 Killed in Separate Attacks on Bus Passengers and a House in Balochistan

Quetta, March 27, 2025 – The law and order situation in Balochistan continues to deteriorate as two separate violent incidents have left at least 13 people dead.
Bus Attack in Gwadar
A Karachi-bound passenger bus was ambushed in Gwadar’s Kalmat area late Wednesday night. According to Gwadar Deputy Commissioner Hamoodur Rehman, armed assailants intercepted the vehicle, forced some passengers off, and executed six individuals on the spot. One of the victims has been identified as a resident of Multan. The attackers managed to escape before authorities arrived.
House Set on Fire in Sohbat Pur
In a separate attack in Sohbat Pur district, seven family members were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire and set their house ablaze. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and authorities are investigating the incident.
Government Response
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned both incidents, expressing sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. They have instructed law enforcement agencies to take swift action against the perpetrators.
These tragic incidents highlight the ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, emphasizing the urgent need for stronger measures to safeguard citizens
