BLA Claims Responsibility for Jafar Express Attack, Warns of Retaliation

Bolan, March 11, 2025 – The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Jafar Express in the Mach mountains of Balochistan. According to a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson, the train was intercepted following a blast on the railway track, leading to a temporary halt in its movement.
The BLA claims that its fighters swiftly took control of the train and detained passengers. They issued a warning against any military action, stating that any retaliation from security forces would result in severe consequences. The group also declared that all those involved in such operations would be “blacklisted.”
According to the BLA, the attack is part of a coordinated strategy carried out in collaboration with allied militant groups. They emphasized that any counter-operations by the security forces would be met with a strong response.
The group further claimed that six security personnel were killed during the attack and several passengers were taken for investigation. They placed responsibility for the situation on the Pakistani authorities.
The incident has raised concerns over the security of railway transportation in Balochistan. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the attack.
