Former Commissioner and Daughter Involved in Violent Mid-Flight Incident on SereneAir

Quetta, March 18, 2025 — Former Commissioner Iftikhar Jogezai and his daughter, Saima Jogezai, were involved in a shocking incident aboard SereneAir flight ER540 from Quetta to Islamabad. The pair allegedly misbehaved with airline staff during check-in, with Saima reportedly appearing intoxicated and causing a disturbance among passengers.
Once on board, the situation escalated. As the aircraft prepared for takeoff, Saima stood up, shouted profanities, and issued threats, prompting the captain to return to the gate to offload the pair. While Iftikhar disembarked, Saima refused, later physically attacking a female crew member, resulting in severe injuries, including a broken nose and teeth.
Airport Security Force (ASF) took both into custody, but reports suggest mounting pressure on authorities for their release. The incident has sparked widespread concern over airline crew safety and renewed calls for strict legal action.
