ICC Applauds PCB for Successfully Hosting Champions Trophy 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has extended its appreciation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for successfully organizing the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament, which ran from February 19 to March 9, was a historic moment for Pakistan as it hosted a major global cricket event for the first time since 1996.

Matches were held in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with additional fixtures played in Dubai due to India’s decision not to travel to Pakistan. ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice commended the PCB for its efforts in delivering a well-organized tournament, acknowledging the extensive preparations in venue upgrades, pitch management, and overall match arrangements.

The tournament concluded with India winning their third Champions Trophy title after defeating New Zealand in the final at Dubai International Stadium. Allardice also recognized the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) for hosting a portion of the matches, highlighting their role in ensuring a smooth event.

This successful hosting is expected to boost Pakistan’s chances of attracting more international cricket tournaments in the future, reinforcing the country’s position as a key venue for global events.
