Imran Khan Rejects Claims of Authorizing Any Talks with Establishment

Rawalpindi – April 15, 2025:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has firmly denied that he allowed any party leader to initiate contact or hold talks with the country’s military leadership.
While addressing media representatives outside the Adiala Jail, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan conveyed Imran Khan’s message, stating that no individual from the party has been permitted to communicate with the establishment — directly or indirectly.
This statement comes amid speculation in the political circles suggesting that certain party members had engaged in behind-the-scenes dialogue with powerful institutions. Imran Khan, currently imprisoned, clarified that such actions do not reflect his consent or instructions.
“Every party decision, especially on such sensitive matters, must come through Chairman Khan. He has not given anyone the green light,” Gohar told reporters.
Without naming anyone, the clarification also indirectly responded to rumors fueled by recent comments made by senior PTI figures. According to party insiders, Khan remains focused on legal battles and public mobilization, and any political engagement outside that framework is not recognized by him.
The announcement underscores Khan’s continued influence over PTI’s strategic decisions, even while behind bars. It also reflects the party’s intent to maintain a united front and ensure that no individual oversteps the boundaries set by its founder.
