Jamaat-e-Islami Announces Nationwide Protests Against Israeli Actions in Gaza
Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has declared a nationwide protest on Friday, March 21, to condemn Israeli military actions in Gaza and what it describes as U.S. support for these operations.
JI chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman announced that demonstrations will take place across Pakistan simultaneously. He emphasized the party’s stance against the violence in Palestine and called on the public to join the protests in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
This development comes amid ongoing international efforts to address the conflict. Earlier this year, the U.S. and Qatar brokered a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, aiming to de-escalate tensions and prevent further unrest in the region.
The situation in Gaza remains critical, with continued global calls for peace and humanitarian relief.
