PTI Leadership Breaks the Ice: Internal Unity in Sight After Barrister Gohar’s Mediation

Islamabad – April 9:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) appears to be on a path to internal healing, as key party figures begin bridging divides with the help of senior leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan. Recent tensions between party stalwarts Sher Afzal Marwat and Gohar Khan seem to be settling after a public display of unity at the PTI Secretariat.

The two leaders were seen embracing in a widely shared video, signaling an end to their recent dispute. Their fallout had stirred concern within PTI ranks, especially after Marwat’s harsh criticism of the leadership led to disciplinary action from within the party.

In his latest statement, Marwat clarified that his remarks were directed at broader decision-making issues in PTI, not at Gohar personally. He emphasized that no personal animosity exists and the situation has now been defused.

On the broader political front, Barrister Gohar also called for renewed talks with the central government. He urged for an open, all-inclusive dialogue to resolve the national political deadlock, saying that democracy thrives when discussions replace deadlock.

With Gohar’s role as a mediator and voice of reconciliation, PTI may be laying the groundwork to recover internal cohesion and re-engage in national politics more effectively.
