Security Forces Eliminate Nine Militants, Including Ringleader, in DI Khan Operation

In a major counter-terrorism success, security forces conducted an intelligence-driven operation in the Takwara area of Dera Ismail Khan, neutralizing nine militants, including a notorious terrorist commander.
According to official sources, the intelligence-based operation (IBO) was launched late Sunday night after authorities received credible information about militant presence in the area. During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire took place, resulting in the deaths of all nine terrorists on site.
Among those eliminated was Shireen, a key figure in the terror network, believed to have been involved in multiple attacks on security personnel, including the martyrdom of Captain Hasnain Akhtar.
Recovered from the site were large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and communication devices. Security officials stated that the group had been actively plotting attacks against both security forces and civilians in the region.
Local residents expressed relief and support for the operation, appreciating the efforts of the security forces in restoring peace and deterring future threats.
The successful raid highlights Pakistan’s ongoing resolve to uproot terrorism and ensure safety across its tribal and border regions.
