Sher Afzal Marwat Rules Out Rejoining PTI, Refuses to Seek Imran Khan’s Pardon

Islamabad – April 7, 2025:
Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has firmly ruled out the possibility of returning to the party, stating that he will not plead with PTI founder Imran Khan, who remains behind bars, for reinstatement.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Marwat emphasized his stance by saying, “I will not beg Imran Khan to take me back.” The comment marks a clear break from the party’s leadership, with whom he has had increasing disagreements in recent months.

Once considered a staunch loyalist of Imran Khan, Marwat has grown critical of PTI’s current internal dynamics, especially following a series of public spats and ideological differences. His statement has sparked speculation about his future political plans and whether he intends to align with another political platform or go independent.

The remarks come at a time when PTI is grappling with internal dissent and external challenges, as it navigates the post-May 9 political climate and struggles to maintain party unity in the absence of its imprisoned founder.
