Woman Brutally Tortured by Relatives in Matiari
Matiari, March 27, 2025 – A shocking case of violence has emerged from Ghulam Muhammad Unar village in Matiari district, Sindh, where a woman named Hassana was subjected to severe torture by her own relatives.
According to reports, the incident occurred after she was accused of assisting in a relative’s elopement. Enraged over the accusation, the perpetrators tied her up with ropes, assaulted her brutally, and inflicted serious injuries, including broken legs. They also cut off her hair as part of the attack.
Authorities stepped in after receiving reports of the crime. Hassana was given immediate medical assistance, and law enforcement arrested one suspect while searching for others involved. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Matiari has taken notice of the case and initiated further investigations.
This incident highlights the ongoing issue of violence against women in certain areas, emphasizing the need for stronger legal action and awareness to prevent such tragedies.
